Fire Code Permits

Issuing Fee: $30
WORK WITHOUT A PERMIT: Normal Fees Doubled

Fire Sprinkler Fees

Riser Fee (per riser): $150

Per Head: $3 per head

Plan Review: 50% of the total permit fee
Permit Fee: $30

Example: $30 (permit fee) plus $150 (riser fee) plus $750 (250 heads) plus $465 (plan review) equals $1395.00. 

Underground Fire Line

Underground fire water line: $150

Plan Review: 50% of total permit cost  

Permit Fee: $30

Example: $150 (fire line) plus $30 (permit fee) plus $90 (plan review) equals $270.00.

Fire Alarm and Access Control Systems

FACP Fee: $100

Devices: $3 per device 

Plan Review: 50% of the total permit cost

Permit Fee: $30
Example: $30 (permit fee) plus $100 (fire alarm control panel) plus $75 (25 devices) plus $102.50 (plan review) equals $307.50

*Any changes, alterations, or replacement of equipment requires submitted plans and approval from the Fire Marshal's Office. 

Flammable and Combustible Liquid Storage Tank 

Removal or Installation Permit Fee (per tank): $75

Plan Review: 50% of the total permit cost

Permit Fee: $30 

Example: $75 (one tank) plus $30 (permit fee) plus $52.50 (plan review) equals $157.50. 

Burn Permit

Burn Permit: $100

Site Plan Review: 50% of the total permit cost

Permit Fee: $30

Example: $100 (burn permit) plus $30 (permit fee) plus $65 (site plan review) equals $195.00. 

All burning permits will be issued subject to existing City Regulations and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Commercial Hood Suppression System 

Hood Suppression: $150 per hood

Plan Review: 50% of the total permit cost

Permit Fee: $30

Example: $300 (2 hood suppression systems) plus $30 (permit fee) plus $165 (plan review) equals $495.00. 

After Hours Permit 

2-hour callout: $150 per Inspector needed

Additions or Changes to Existing Systems

Up to 10 devices: $70
Over 10 devices: $3 each additional head

Plan review: 50% of the total permit cost

Permit Fee: $30
Example: $30 (permit fee) plus $70 (up to10 devices relocated) plus $15 (5 additional devices) plus $57.50 (plan review fee) equals $172.50
